Celebrating Saint Rose Philippine Duchesne, a pioneer missionary of the Society of the Sacred Heart, who came to St. Charles, Missouri, from France and founded the first free school west of the Mississippi in September 1818.

On Friday, June 29, 2018, a sculpture of Saint Philippine was unveiled and blessed by the Most Rev. Robert J. Carlson, archbishop of St. Louis, and Sheila Hammond, RSCJ, provincial of the Society of the Sacred Heart, United States-Canada Province. Read more
To honor the Bicentennial of our Patroness, the 3rd grade students at Oak Hill School in St. Louis, Missouri, performed an original musical, “Crossing Frontiers,” written and directed by Mrs. Caroline Zarinelli. The opening number “#4 Grand Rue” highlights St. Rose Philippine's large and vibrant family life and her desires to live the religious life. Read more
