Students at 91st Street create prosthetics using 3-D printer

Students at Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York City (91st Street) were recently featured in a TV news story. In their math class, they are learning how to design prosthetic hands and are using a 3-D printer to create them for other young people.

"They're using their heart, they're using their brain, they're here after school working hard when they don't have to be," Sacred Heart educator Tanya Lerch said. Now that's the kind of story we love! See the full story and video here.
