Born in 1921 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Mildred Peterkin was the daughter of Frank Edwin Peterkin and Mary Loretta Noonan. Sister Peterkin was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Dr. David Peterkin and Reverend Allan Peterkin, SJ, as well as her only sister, Dr. Edith Peterkin of Belleville, Ontario. She is survived by one brother, John (Esme) of Winnipeg, and by several beloved nephews and nieces in Canada and the USA.

Religious of the Sacred Heart, Mary Helen McComas died December 31, 2021, in Albany, New York. She was eighty-eight years old and a member of the Society of the Sacred Heart for sixty-eight years. Mary Helen was born on May 21, 1933, in Baltimore, Maryland, the only daughter of Louis Gough McComas and Elizabeth Rainsford McComas. She was a 1951 graduate of Eden Hall, Convent of the Sacred Heart, in Torresdale, Philadelphia, and a 1964 graduate of Newton College of the Sacred Heart, where she earned a BA in Education.

She was born on July 7, 1928, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Mildred Louise Bechet and Francis Xavier Mouton. She was preceded by two brothers, and later followed by a little sister—all of whom remained close during their lives. Lyn, as she was always called, spoke of a delightfully happy home, filled with joy and laughter.

Religious of the Sacred Heart, Ada Burns, died December 29, 2021, in Atherton, California. She was ninety-four years old and a member of the Society of the Sacred Heart for seventy-four years. Ada was born in Sarasota, Florida, on September 20, 1928, to Edwin Oscar Burns and Elizabeth Stevens Burns. She graduated from Notre Dame High School located in Belmont, California in 1946, and entered the Society of the Sacred Heart in February of 1947 at Kenwood in Albany, New York.
