We are women whose spirituality acknowledges
the ever-present glory of God, who is love.

As Religious of the Sacred Heart
of the Grand Coteau/Baton Rouge Area

We are women
whose spirituality acknowledges
the ever-present glory of God, who is love.

Whether through prayer, contemplation,
community, friendship, or ministry,
we believe that the
Heart of Christ
brings us into relationship with
God, persons, and all creation.

It is through relationships
that we are nurtured, energized,
set free and sent forth time and again
to embrace all persons, especially the poor, and
to encounter Mystery with the hope
of those who have known
joy and suffering
loneliness and community
disquiet and peace.

Hope is the foundation
for the passion that burns at our core,
the passion that warms us when
we grow cold and immune to our surroundings,
the passion that steadies our
sometimes scattered focus,
and reminds us of our purpose.

Our spirituality is one of communion,
one mind and one heart,
one of active participation,
and one of ever burning hope, and love.
