I have been an Associate for 20 years. I truly fell in love with the Society when I spent 3 months living with the RSCJ community in Ayutla, Mexico, in 2001 and witnessed their liberating work doing popular education. The call to be both “wholly contemplative and wholly apostolic” really speaks to me (though I find the apostolic much easier!). I have been engaged in community and faith-rooted organizing for most of my professional life, and currently working for an economic justice non-profit walking in solidarity with low-wage workers, immigrants and tenants fighting for dignity and justice. I take great joy living in a small co-housing community in Oakland with my husband and son.
