Carol Pfitzinger has served as the director of the Shrine of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne in St. Charles, Missouri, for the last 30 years. For over three decades, she has welcomed visitors from around the world in addition to countless local groups to the Shrine to learn more about our beloved Philippine.
Her three decades of dedicated service have included planning and hosting summer visitors from our Sacred Heart school in Japan, organizing excursions to Sugar Creek, Kansas, where Philippine lived and worked with the Potawatomi, and sharing our hallmark hospitality in Philippine’s home in St. Charles.
It is with deep joy and gratitude that the province and the Academy of the Sacred Heart communitycelebrates Carol for the gift she has been to the growth and success of the shrine, educating many about Philippine, and ensuring Philippine's legacy lives on for many years to come.
Carol's last official day is January 31. Please join us in sending prayers and well wishes to Carol as she concludes her time as director.
