When I began attending school at 8 Prince Street (Academy of the Sacred Heart, Rochester) in the sixth grade I remember that each year when Mater's feast was nearing we were enjoined to write an essay on her. Dutifully I spent a great deal of time gazing at her picture that graced the hallway of our school and seemed to be in every room in my own house as well. I vividly remember that first year asking these questions: “What are you reading, Mary?” “What are you making, Mary?” “What are you thinking, Mary?” “Do you know what is coming, Mary?” Looking at her now I realize that the questions remain!
