Week 24 (August 30-September 5)
“Epochs of transition must keep us on the alert. They ask us to keep our eyes upon the distant horizons, our minds listening to seize every indication that can enlighten us; reading, reflection, searching, must never stop; the mind must keep flexible in order to lose nothing …”
Janet Erskine Stuart, RSCJ
In this season of transition, let us find the grace to remain alert
to see the distant horizons
and to find every indication that can enlighten us …
for we are the change that we wish to bring forth …
And so, let us watch where our feet take us today, recalling the words of Frederick Buechner:
“Thus, when you wake up in the morning, called by God to be a self again, if you want to know who you are, watch your feet. Because where your feet take you, that is who you are.”
